Welcome to the Central Iowa Alumni Association of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia!
Founded in 1898 with the purpose of promoting sociability and the best and truest fraternal spirit, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is the oldest and largest secret fraternal society in music in the world. Banded together by our common goal of building men of the highest type, Sinfonians across the country seek to win the world to Harmony through its noble object:
The Object of this Fraternity shall be for the development of the best and truest fraternal spirit; the mutual welfare and brotherhood of musical students; the advancement of music in America and a loyalty to the Alma Mater.
The Central Iowa Alumni Association was officially chartered on May 5, 2015. Although we are early in our history, we have already completed Mills Music Missions and volunteered at the Iowa Municipal Band festival. We continue to look for more opportunities for advancing our brotherhood and building upon our fraternity's noble object.
Our regular business meetings alternate between the second Sunday and second Wednesday of the month. All alumni and active members of the fraternity are welcome! Check our Facebook page for the exact location of each monthly meeting.
